Boater Safety Certification Courses offered in March

JEFFERSON CITY - Captain Michael A. Turner, commanding officer of Troop F, Jefferson City, announces that boater safety certification courses will be offered in various locations during the month of March.

Participants are encouraged to bring a snack and lunch to the training.

The courses will be offered at following and locations:

• Sunrise Beach – March 23, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Advantage Marine LOTO 48 Beachwood Drive, Sunrise Beach, MO 65079
• Lebanon – March 23, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Laclede Electric Co-Op 1400 E. Route 66, Lebanon, MO 65536
• Warsaw – March 15, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Harry S. Truman Visitor Center, 29027 Visitor Center Road, Warsaw , MO 65355

There is no fee for this course; however, students are required to pre-register online as seating will be limited, and notification may be sent in the event the course is canceled.

Missouri law requires any person born after January 1, 1984, to carry a boating safety certification card along with a picture ID anytime they operate a vessel, which includes personal watercraft, on Missouri lakes.

Any student who successfully passes this course will be eligible to order the boating safety certification card, which costs $15.
