Man seriously injured when vehicle overturns

LAKE OF THE OZARKS – A Macks Creek man is in serious condition after his vehicle overturned last week.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) last Tuesday December 21 at 7:49 p.m., a 2011 Chevrolet HHR, driven by Judd Carnahan, 64, of Macks Creek, MO, was westbound on Route W, west of Up and Down Road when the vehicle went off the left side of the road and overturned.

He was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, MO, with serious injuries. He was wearing a seat belt. The vehicle had extensive damage.

At 8:27 p.m., Judd Carnahan was charged with the following:

  1. DWI – Alcohol
  2. Fail to Drive on Right Half of Roadway
  3. Operate Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility
  4. Possession of Marijuana – 21 Grams

He was released for medical treatment.

A two-vehicle accident last Wednesday sent three people to the hospital.

The MSHP reported that at 2:54 p.m. on Highway 54 at Route O in Camden County, a 2007 Ford Taurus, driven by a 17-year-old female from Mack Creek, MO, was traveling south when she failed to yield to a 2016 Chrysler Town and Country, driven by Janet Gross, 71, of Roach, MO, that was eastbound.

Gross and the 17-year-old driver suffered minor injuries and were taken to Lake Regional Hospital by private vehicle.

An 11-year-old passenger in the Taurus suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional. All involved were wearing their seat belts. Both vehicles had moderate damage.

To round out the week, a man was injured when his four-wheeler overturned last Friday.

According to the MSHP, at 1:50 p.m. on Greenview Drive near Hermit Holler, Kenneth Mustain, 57, of Camdenton, MO, was traveling west when the 2003 Polaris Scrambler he was driving went off the right side of the road, overturned and ejected Mustain.

He suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Lake Regional Hospital by ambulance. He was not wearing a safety device. The Scrambler had minor damage.
